The fourth stamp of this issue, on the Fruits of Portugal, represents a fruit originally from South America, which possibly arrived in the Azores at the time of the Discoveries, brought by a ship loaded with other exotic species. It is the Passion Fruit, a fruit with Protected Designation of Origin
This philatelic issue consists of five stamps for shipping in Europe up to 20g, with a circulation of 66,000 each. The design of the stamps was in charge of Hélder Soares from Atelier Design & etc.
The first day's obliterations will be made at Restauradores stores in Lisbon, Municipality II in Porto, Zarco in Funchal and Antero de Quental in Ponta Delgada.
