Exposição de Colecionismo Amigos da Filatelia

Portugal 2024 - Emissão filatélica dedicada ao Centro Ismaili

O Centro Ismaili, inaugurado em julho de 1998, simboliza a presença permanente e os valores fundamentais da comunidade Ismaili em Portugal. Ao longo dos últimos 25 anos, tornou-se um espaço de intercâmbio cultural, fomentando o diálogo e criando oportunidades tanto para a comunidade Ismaili como para a sociedade global.

A coleção de selos inclui quatro selos, cada um representando caraterísticas arquitetónicas distintas do Centro: o Char Bagh, o exterior da Sala de Orações, os detalhes geométricos do Pátio Primavera e as cúpulas da entrada secundária. Com o valor de 4,05 €, a coleção está limitada a 70.000 exemplares.

Os CTT já comemoraram anteriormente marcos significativos da comunidade Ismaili e das suas iniciativas globais através de emissões especiais de selos. Em 2018, foi emitido um selo para celebrar o Diamond Jubilee de MAwalana Hazar Imam, assinalando 60 anos de liderança e os contributos da Rede Aga Khan para o Desenvolvimento  (AKDN). Adicionalmente, um selo lançado em 2007 reconheceu o trabalho da Fundação Aga Khan (AKF) no alívio da pobreza e no desenvolvimento rural.

Nos últimos anos, os CTT lançaram também selos dedicados ao Prémio Aga Khan para a Arquitetura e aos Prémios Aga Khan para a Música, reconhecendo a promoção da excelência na arquitetura e na música como parte da missão mais ampla de Hazar Imam de promover a compreensão cultural e a expressão criativa a nível global.

A cerimónia oficial de lançamento do selo de aniversário do Centro Ismaili, Lisboa terá lugar em dezembro, reunindo membros da comunidade, dignitários e parceiros para celebrar esta ocasião única.

A Primeira Travessia Aérea do Atlântico Sul, realizada pelos marinheiros aviadores Gago Coutinho e Sacadura Cabral, constituiu-se como referência histórica pelo impacto social unificador na Nação portuguesa e pelo seu valor intrínseco em termos temporais, científicos e individuais, apesar dos limitados recursos disponibilizados.
 
A realização desta Travessia no ano de 1922, com 4.367 milhas percorridas em 60 horas e 14 minutos, operando um hidroavião monomotor de flutuadores, poderá causar espanto pela audácia dos tripulantes. Contudo, foi por terem sido voadas 36 horas e 29 minutos sobre o oceano, sem referências geográficas, com perfeito conhecimento da posição e baseando-se exclusivamente na observação astronómica, que seria considerado um feito inédito e inovador à data, precursor da navegação aérea autónoma.
 
Os selos individuais representam as três “máquinas” utilizadas. O primeiro, na descolagem de Lisboa, a 30 de março de 1922, ao romper da manhã, o Fairey IIID versão Mark II, F 400, identificado pelo construtor como Transatlantic Load Carrier, que viria a ser por decreto governamental o Lusitânia. O segundo, o Fairey IIID, F 401, matrícula 16, à deriva em 11 de maio, após uma amaragem de emergência e prestes a ser socorrido por um navio mercante, o Paris City. O terceiro, o Fairey IIID, F 402, matrícula 17, que finalizou a Travessia a 17 de junho, posteriormente batizado Santa Cruz na chegada ao Brasil.

We can all agree that peace is important. There are, however, objective differences as to the true meaning of the term. For some, it means the absence of violence or war, but for others it is understood as a serene and calm state of mind, living in harmony and tranquillity.
These meanings of the word peace, in fact, are complementary and function at different levels of the social complex, according to the framework created by the religious beliefs, social theories or other superstructures that are prevalent in each society.
Peace can be defined in binary language (it does or does not exist) or in terms of continuous adaptive processes. It can be empirical and abstract or more specifically legislated by international rules, such as peace treaties.
Within this range of meanings, however, peace tends to be found in harmony with concepts such as justice, freedom and equality. And it positions itself in opposition to other concepts such as violence, abuses of power and social conflicts.
Peace is thus part of the fabric that links human relationships all around the world. And the multiple scope of its meanings is defined by the relationship it maintains with other divisive themes – positive and negative −, in each historical moment and in each society.
We are all eager to achieve a state of security and calmness that emerges in the absence of conflict. And it is a paradox that we still retain that universal eagerness in today's war-torn world. Without peace, it will not be possible to achieve the levels of trust, cooperation and inclusion necessary for societies to face natural disasters arm in arm, to resolve their disputes and adapt to environmental changes, prioritising harmony and freedom.
The true secret for us to achieve peace is to create a community that respects others and is tolerant and inclusive, one that does not allow behaviour such as discrimination, intolerance of differences or violation of the social rules of coexistence.
For all these reasons, peace has always been among the highest values of humanity, and for some is even the greatest value of all.

CTT – Correios de Portugal will make available to the general public, as of this Monday, 9th of August, a set of personalized stamps with the objective of thanking workers from all areas who have always been at work during the confinement imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In these atypical times, in addition to giving thanks, CTT wanted to pay tribute to all those who have always been on the Front Line in the fight against the pandemic: Health professionals, Security Forces, Transport, Civil Protection, Food Production and Essential Goods professionals .

Based on CTT's strategic positioning, linking Companies and People with Total Delivery, this thanks and tribute are also directed to our professionals in Operations, Distribution and the Retail Network, who, in the face of the adversity of the context in which we live, showed their commitment and resilience necessary to provide the best services to its customers, with maximum convenience and convenience.
