Os CTT – Correios de Portugal lançam, a partir de sexta-feira, dia 27 de maio, um Inteiro Postal da República (IP) para assinalar o novo “Caminho Marítimo de Santiago”, em Portugal, que irá ligar, ao longo da costa, o Algarve à Galiza. Esta peça filatélica será emitida em parceria com a Upstream Portugal e a Fórum Oceano.

 

Com uma tiragem de 3 000 exemplares, o IP estará em circulação com uma taxa de N20g, que corresponde ao valor facial de 0,57€.

 

O projeto Caminho Marítimo de Santiago em Portugal pretende recriar, na costa portuguesa, a viagem da “Barca de Pedra” que, segundo reza a lenda, no ano 40 do primeiro milénio transportou o corpo do Santo peregrino desde Jaffa na Palestina até Campus Stella na Galiza.

 

A Upstream – Valorização do Território e a Fórum Oceano – Associação da Economia do Mar lideram a iniciativa, estabelecendo uma parceria que concretiza aquela intenção através de um projeto mobilizador que promove o Turismo Náutico e a Rede de Estações Náuticas de forma inovadora e sustentável, e que contribui para a diversificação da oferta turística, para a redução da sazonalidade, para a qualificação dos serviços e das infraestruturas e para a coesão territorial e desenvolvimento de parcerias transfronteiriças, em total sintonia com a Estratégia Nacional para o Mar 2021-2030.

 

E porque ‘O Caminho faz-se navegando’, o Cruzeiro Inaugural do “Caminho Marítimo de Santiago”, em Portugal, em 2022, terá início em Vila Real de Santo António a 28 de maio e término no dia 13 de junho em Santiago de Compostela.

 

O cruzeiro inaugural – composto por de cerca de 20 embarcações (veleiros convidados), entre as quais a Caravela Vera Cruz, assim como várias embarcações internacionais – irá partir do porto de Vila Real de Santo António, em direção ao porto de Vilamoura, local no qual irá pernoitar. Este Caminho náutico, composto por 12 etapas, irá depois viajar em direção a Sines (30 de maio), seguindo-se Cascais (1 de junho), Peniche (3 de junho), Ria de Aveiro (4 de junho), Matosinhos (6 de junho), Viana do Castelo (8 de junho), Baiona (10 de junho), Vila Garcia de Arousa (11 de junho) e, por fim, Pádron (12 de junho). Este itinerário por mar irá percorrer cerca de 500 milhas náuticas. O percurso de 12 quilómetros que liga Pádron a Santiago Compostela será feito a pé pelos viajantes nautas. Acrescente-se, ainda, que o cruzeiro inaugural irá contar com cerca de 150 participantes.

Nas principais localidades, os CTT terão equipas para carimbar os Inteiros Postais. Desta forma, todos poderão ficar com uma recordação desta viagem que promete fazer história.

We can all agree that peace is important. There are, however, objective differences as to the true meaning of the term. For some, it means the absence of violence or war, but for others it is understood as a serene and calm state of mind, living in harmony and tranquillity.
These meanings of the word peace, in fact, are complementary and function at different levels of the social complex, according to the framework created by the religious beliefs, social theories or other superstructures that are prevalent in each society.
Peace can be defined in binary language (it does or does not exist) or in terms of continuous adaptive processes. It can be empirical and abstract or more specifically legislated by international rules, such as peace treaties.
Within this range of meanings, however, peace tends to be found in harmony with concepts such as justice, freedom and equality. And it positions itself in opposition to other concepts such as violence, abuses of power and social conflicts.
Peace is thus part of the fabric that links human relationships all around the world. And the multiple scope of its meanings is defined by the relationship it maintains with other divisive themes – positive and negative −, in each historical moment and in each society.
We are all eager to achieve a state of security and calmness that emerges in the absence of conflict. And it is a paradox that we still retain that universal eagerness in today's war-torn world. Without peace, it will not be possible to achieve the levels of trust, cooperation and inclusion necessary for societies to face natural disasters arm in arm, to resolve their disputes and adapt to environmental changes, prioritising harmony and freedom.
The true secret for us to achieve peace is to create a community that respects others and is tolerant and inclusive, one that does not allow behaviour such as discrimination, intolerance of differences or violation of the social rules of coexistence.
For all these reasons, peace has always been among the highest values of humanity, and for some is even the greatest value of all.
