Postal Máximo Cristo Rei

Yt:BR 686

Edition Foto Postal Colombo

Stamp: Brazil, 1959. Commemorative issue for the "Universal Day of Thanksgiving" (Dia Universal de Ação de Graças). Face value of 2.50 cruzeiros, printed in blue and white. It features the Christ the Redeemer statue over a globe with the inscription "1909-1959 TE DEUM LAUDAMUS". (Issued in 1959).

Postmark: Commemorative pictorial cancellation, dated March 19, 1960. Stamped in Rio de Janeiro (Distrito Federal). The postmark design is circular, bearing the inscription "CONFERÊNCIA DISTRITAL DO ROTARY CLUB - RIO DE JANEIRO - D.F.".

Postcard: Photographic postcard showing a full-length, front-facing view of the Christ the Redeemer statue on Corcovado Mountain, including the access stairways and visitors at the base. (Edition by Foto Colombo).

Concordance

Thematic: Partial/Weak. While the stamp and the postcard show perfect thematic concordance (both illustrating the Christ the Redeemer Monument), the postmark diverges entirely from the religious or monumental theme, being dedicated exclusively to a Rotary Club administrative event.

Geographic: Exact. The illustrated monument (postcard and stamp) is located in Rio de Janeiro, the same location where the postmark was applied, fulfilling the locality requirement.

Temporal: Coherent. The postmark was applied in March 1960, a period when the 1959 stamp was still in full postal validity, although it does not constitute a first-day cancellation or a commemorative date linked to the monument.
