Issue: Presidential Series – Franklin D. Roosevelt (2¢)
Date of Issue: Aug 24, 1945
Postmark: Warm Springs, Georgia – Jul 23 1946
Postcard: View of the Little White House in Warm Springs, Georgia (Edition by Plastichrome)
Justification of Maximum Concordance:
This maximum card demonstrates strong thematic and geographic concordance. The stamp honors Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the postcard depicts his well-known residence in Warm Springs, Georgia, where he spent considerable time during his presidency. The cancellation from Warm Springs further reinforces geographic relevance. Temporal concordance is acceptable, as the postmark date is close to the stamp’s issue period, though not a First Day of Issue. Overall, this is a very good example of a maximum card with excellent thematic alignment.
